Some wonderful projects for my new life in San Francisco!
Wednesday, 27 January 2010
I’v been in San Francisco for one month and now that I know where I will sleep tonight and how to find good food I feel ready to launch my personal projects and get things done here ! When the dreams came true, dream even more!
My projects are :
- learn to speak and write in english. I mean, really. That’s why I’ve decided to write some of my next posts in english (and don’t worry french friends and american haters, it isn’t -only- to be cool) and I live with four americans – even if I really need to find some free time to spend with them in order to speak more.
- get involved in a hackerspace like Noisebridge. As I have recently bought my ticket for Burning Man (YEAH, another dream comes true!), I’d like to build an original structure for the camp we gonna found in Black Rock City in September! The theme of this year is Metropolis and I feel good with it, so let’s see!
- get involved in a wonderful opensource educational project such as Sugar Labs. The first time I’ve heard about it was when I met Christian Vanizette (the enthousiastic co-founder of MakeSense) at a Twitter event in Paris a few weeks ago. Thank you to spread the word! I really want to look forward to help the projet =) Take a look at it, it’s beautiful.
- meet the Silicon Valley gratin or at least a few members of the web community which are really enthusiastic, have big thoughts and could influence or advice me for my upcoming projects.
- elaborate my future, think about the business I’ll create when I’ll be back in Paris, how the Internet can really change the things, and how to make a difference in our world.
Hey, nice plans, aren’t they ? I feel very excited about it !

Hello New San Francisco from Good Old Paris !!
Since you wrote in English, i do the same as you…
I’m glad to see that you enjoy your life in SF and that you have many personal interesting projects.
Very good idea to live with American people when you are in the US. When I was in London, many French people I met were living together – just stupid…
“Be the change you want to see in the world”, Gandhi used to say. With your dynamism, hard work and will to do what you really like, increased by this AMAZING positive atmosphere in the Silicon Valley, i’m sure you’ll succeed !
Take Care and go on giving us news, we (at least I) love it !!

PS2 : I didn’t know Sugar Labs, but the project is terrific !!
